Best Friend is Roy Choi's 'LA in a box' at Park MGM — you enter through a fully stocked Koreatown-style bodega (snacks, merch, a drinks freezer) into a DJ-scored dining room serving the Korean and Korean-Mexican canon that made Choi the godfather of the food-truck movement. He remains personally attached, still curating the menu into 2026.

The Kogi short-rib tacos — the dish that started an American food era — anchor the menu beside galbi (~$28), spicy pork, kimchi fried rice, and slippery shrimp; the Chef's Menu tasting around $69-75 runs the greatest hits for the undecided. Doors at 4pm (no lunch), running to 11 or midnight, with the room getting progressively louder and more party-shaped as the night goes.

Read it right: this is deliberate scene-dining — DJ volume, neon, hidden-door theater — at $50-90 a head, and quiet-dinner seekers will bounce off it. But the cooking under the noise is real Choi: eat early for conversation, late for the full LA-nightlife simulation, and grab the bodega's honey-butter chips on the way out.
