Is Menopause the Musical Worth It? Honest Review & Tips

Menopause The Musical is no longer playing in Las Vegas. The resident production gave its final performance at Harrah's Cabaret on June 27, 2026: what was billed as a five-week hiatus was made permanent, and co-producers Alan and Kathi Glist announced the closure on August 4, 2026. The Las Vegas run lasted 21 years, the longest of any musical in the city's history.

For all of those years the show worked on one idea. Four women meet at a lingerie sale and bond over hot flashes, night sweats and memory lapses, set to parody rewrites of 60s and 70s hits. Its target audience, women who recognized every symptom on stage, laughed harder here than at most comedy clubs in town. Booked for the right group it was a lock; booked wrong it missed, because the humor was squarely menopause-themed, the songs were parodies rather than originals, and Harrah's Cabaret is a functional room rather than a grand theater. Performances ran 85 minutes with no intermission, Monday through Saturday at 8 PM with 4 PM matinees on Tuesday and Saturday, from about $45 at the box office. Ages 14+.

The title itself hasn't gone away: Menopause The Musical remains an active US touring production, with more than 40 dates booked from September 2026. In Las Vegas the current Harrah's lineup is Donny Osmond and X Country; MJ Live left the property after September 9, 2026 and now plays the Saxe Theater at Miracle Mile. The full Las Vegas show lineup covers the rest of the Strip.

Insider tipIf you want the show itself, follow the US tour: it has more than 40 dates booked from September 2026. If you want a night at Harrah's, the house lineup is now Donny Osmond and X Country, since MJ Live moved to the Saxe Theater at Miracle Mile in September 2026, and our shows index has the rest of the Strip.

Frequently asked questions

Is Menopause The Musical still playing in Las Vegas?

No. The resident production played its last performance at Harrah's Cabaret on June 27, 2026. What was billed as a five-week hiatus was made permanent, and co-producers Alan and Kathi Glist announced the closure on August 4, 2026.

Can I still see the show somewhere else?

Yes, on tour. Menopause The Musical remains an active US touring production with more than 40 dates booked from September 2026, so what ended was the Las Vegas sit-down run rather than the show.

How long did the Las Vegas run last?

21 years, which made it the longest-running musical in Las Vegas history. The final stretch played at Harrah's Cabaret.

What was the show about?

Four women meet at a lingerie sale and turn hot flashes, night sweats and memory lapses into parody rewrites of 60s and 70s hits. Performances ran 85 minutes with no intermission and were rated for ages 14 and up.

What else is playing at Harrah's now?

Donny Osmond and X Country are the current Harrah's bill; X Country uses the same Cabaret room and is a topless revue, so it is not a like-for-like swap. MJ Live was on the property until September 9, 2026 and has moved to the Saxe Theater at Miracle Mile. Our Las Vegas shows index lists the rest of the Strip.
