Is Mrs. Doubtfire at the Venetian Worth It? Honest Review of the Limited Run

The Las Vegas engagement is over. Mrs. Doubtfire played a strictly limited two-week run at The Venetian Theatre - eleven performances, July 22 through August 2, 2026 - and the Venetian's own event page now lists it as completed. The production itself hasn't closed: the national tour resumed in Mexico City on August 18, 2026 and is booked through at least February 2027. It simply has no further Las Vegas dates.

What played here was the touring company of the Karey and Wayne Kirkpatrick musical, adapted from the 1993 Robin Williams film: a full ~2.5-hour Broadway show with intermission, built around the quick-change spectacle of Daniel Hillard becoming his family's Scottish nanny. Evenings ran at 7:30 p.m. with 2 p.m. matinees on weekends, and the schedule took a three-day break July 27-29 between the two weeks.

It was a real Broadway-length evening: a 7:30 curtain ended near 10, a different commitment than a 75-minute Strip show. The cast was the road company, not the original New York one, and the family billing came with an asterisk (generally recommended 8+, with very young children usually not admitted). Entry started at $57, while good orchestra seats ran toward $165 before Ticketmaster fees.
