Tape Face - Sam Wills, the silent New Zealander with tape over his mouth from America's Got Talent 2016 - runs his residency “House of Tape” in the Underground Theater at MGM Grand, a ~250-seat room one level below the casino floor. The act is wordless prop comedy built almost entirely on audience volunteers: he stares, the room laughs, someone gets pulled up, and ordinary objects become the funniest things you've seen without a single line of dialogue.

The no-language format makes it one of the few genuinely universal shows in town - all ages (3+ need a ticket, under-2s lap-sit), international groups, anyone. Two practical notes: the participation is constant and the front rows are the talent pool, so seat choice equals volunteering consent; and the schedule runs six nights a week at 7:30 PM, dark Wednesdays, with longer breaks around F1 week, Thanksgiving and the second half of December in 2026 - check your date. Never - the entire show runs on mime, props, sound cues and the most expressive eyebrows in show business. That's also why it works for any language and any age: there's nothing to translate.

Will I get pulled on stage?

The front third of a 250-seat room is his casting pool, and volunteers carry major routines - some spend ten-plus minutes up there. Sit forward to volunteer, rear-center to watch safely.

What's the schedule?

Six nights a week at 7:30 PM, dark Wednesdays, with longer breaks on the 2026 calendar around F1 week (November 18-21), Thanksgiving (November 25-26) and December 16-25. Verify your specific date on the calendar.

Is it good for kids?

One of the best in town - no language, no crude material, pure visual comedy. Kids 3+ need their own ticket, under-2s can lap-sit, and under-18s attend with an adult.

Where is the Underground Theater?
