Dark Sister

Dark Sister is the Arts District's witchy newcomer - opened summer 2025 on South Main by Natalie Bigler and Cheyenne Likens, with Brooke Weston running the bar program, and named for the Valyrian sword, not for any sibling bar. The room plays full occult apothecary: candlelight, velvet, a suit of armor, and a bar top of resin-set dried flowers and tarot cards.

The drinks commit to the bit without losing craft: zodiac-themed 'potions' that rotate with the actual astrological calendar, plus signatures like the Devil's Dance - fiery rum in a skull glass with chili horns, $16 - and the Fireside Ritual, a s'mores espresso martini at $17. The weekly liturgy: Industry Mondays with hospitality discounts, Whiskey Wednesdays built on Old Forester flights, and tarot readers in residence Thursday and Saturday nights.

It's a small room finding its rhythm - barely a year old, tight on weekend seating, cocktails at Arts District premium, and a theme that will strike some as costume. But the execution is more serious than the aesthetic suggests, and a tarot-night visit is one of the District's more original evenings out. Sun-Thu to midnight, Fri-Sat to 2am.
