Pachi-Pachi

Pachi Pachi is Branden Powers' follow-up to the Golden Tiki — a Tokyo-styled listening lounge and noodle bar inside downtown's Historic Post Office, opened August 2025. Clear one thing up first: despite the pachinko-parlor name, there are no games here — it's a sensory-overload cocktail room (eyeball paintings, neon snakes, disco balls, tracksuit-wildlife murals, a 'portal' music-video box in the bathroom) built around theatrical drinks and late-night vinyl.

The cocktails carry the show: the Sakura Collins changes color as you swirl the straw, the Wagyu Smoked Old Fashioned is washed in beef tallow, and the Shinjuku Sunset arrives under torched rosemary. Food is full Japanese izakaya — the 'World Famous Floating Ghost Noodles' come with levitating chopsticks — though critics fairly note the kitchen trails the bar. The day has three personalities: all-ages lunch from 11:11am, a 21-plus happy hour 3-6pm, and DJ nights from 9pm running house, disco, and rare vinyl.

Plan accordingly: closed Mondays, easy to miss inside Suite 120 of the Post Office building, visually overwhelming by design, and the age rules shift with the clock — kids at noon, strictly 21+ after dark. Come for the drinks and the room; order noodles for the spectacle.
