The Sand Dollar Lounge has been Vegas's blues room since 1976 — the stage that hosted Muddy Waters and B.B. King, and where Mick Jagger famously turned up to listen. Revived in 2015 by current owners Nathan Grates and Anthony Jamison, it runs on a formula that hasn't needed fixing: live music every single night from 10pm to 2am, and never — ever — a cover.

The room is a Chinatown-adjacent lounge with bar-top gaming, an intimate stage, and a genuine in-house pizza kitchen turning out artisan pies until late — the right food for the format. The calendar runs blues at its core with rock, funk, and touring acts mixed through; December brings the Miracle on Spring Mountain holiday pop-up with guest-chef charity pizza nights. Doors at 4pm daily, close at 4am.

Honest notes: before the band starts it's a quiet gaming lounge, so 10pm is the real opening time; the room packs shoulder-tight for bigger acts; smoke drifts, as it does in any gaming bar; and parking is scarce on weekends. None of which has stopped it from being the best free live music in the city, most nights of the year.
